Add a small amount of Hermitage Anointing Oil to pure olive oil for anointing the faithful, or for use in your vigil lamp, to provide a light fragrance.
It is fine quality, however, it us is a little too much on the flowery aroma that that reminds me of ‘grandma’s or old ladies perfume’ that is not a suitable for a male to wear. I would expect an oil that is more on the ‘woody’ side for a man to use.

Thank you for your review. To be clear, our anointing oils are devotional items that contain many of the same fragrances we use in our Athonite Style Incense. Svir is probably my favorite Hermitage fragrance. As a Coptic priest, I would say the scent closely resembles some of the scents found in our holy oils produced in our Egyptian monasteries.
The Svir oil has a very calming and restful scent. I will definitely buy it again for my home and as a gift for family and friends.
