Add a small amount of Hermitage Anointing Oil to pure olive oil for anointing the faithful, or for use in your vigil lamp, to provide a light fragrance.
It is fine quality, however, it us is a little too much on the flowery aroma that that reminds me of ‘grandma’s or old ladies perfume’ that is not a suitable for a male to wear. I would expect an oil that is more on the ‘woody’ side for a man to use.
Svir is probably my favorite Hermitage fragrance. As a Coptic priest, I would say the scent closely resembles some of the scents found in our holy oils produced in our Egyptian monasteries.
The Svir oil has a very calming and restful scent. I will definitely buy it again for my home and as a gift for family and friends.
