Yummy! Not your great aunt’s fruitcake.

My memories of fruitcake tasted in childhood are not positive. I remember nasty tasting candied fruits and strong liquor. People used to put in those disgusting green and red colored candied fruits! I could see from the pictures that this fruitcake was made from more wholesome dried fruits and nuts.
I have wanted to eat a truly well made fruitcake . I was wary, but we thought we would try one this year because we love the Pan Forte the monks make. We have given the PanFortes as gifts and they were well received. We may do the same with fruitcake next Christmas!

Delicious gift

Full of delicious fruit and so moist. Packaging was also lovingly home style with cheese cloth-type wrap around the loaf. I’ll be back for more gifts.

Bourbon Fruit Cake

Delicious, and a welcome replacement for our traditional one that did not get made this year, due to illness. This might become our regular. Will need to order two next time 😂 Many thanks for the rapid shipment of our late order, as well. It was greatly appreciated.

Should have purchased two…

It is a perfect balance of fruit and cake, and the bourbon takes it to the next level. It is delicious today, but will age beautifully. I’m going to buy another one to keep until next Christmas.

Incredible

Honestly, I took a risk on this one, as fruit cake is not something I typically enjoy. I sampled it when it arrived, and I am tempted to eat more before Christmas even arrives every day. This will be an annual Christmas staple from now on.
